staples and collated nails are manufactured from materials and to tolerances in
compliance with ASTM Designation F1667, "Standard Specification for Driven
Fasteners: Nails, Spikes and Staples". Paslode nails conform to the Supplementary
Requirements of ASTM F1667 and can be classified and labeled as "Engineered
Construction Nails, ASTM F1667". Note: Federal Specification FF-N-105B has
been cancelled and is superceded by ASTM F1667. Paslode
electro-galvanized fasteners, other than roofing nails, are zinc coated and conform
to the Class 1 Supplementary Requirements of ASTM Specification A641-98, "Standard
Specification for Zinc-Coated (Galvanized) Carbon Steel Wire". Paslode roofing
coil nails are corrosion resistant, being electro-galvanized with a unbroken surface
of zinc conforming to the zinc coating requirements as described by ASTM Specification
A641-98, "regular coating". Paslode
mechanically galvanized nails are zinc coated and conform to ASTM Specification
B695-91 Class 40 Type I. ASTM B695-91 Class 40 provides equivalency to the zinc
coating thickness of ASTM A153 Class D, "Standard Specification for Zinc
Coating (Hot Dip) on Iron and Steel Hardware" and exceeds the zinc coating
thickness of ASTM A641-98 Class 1, "Standard Specification for Zinc-Coated
(Galvanized) Steel Wire". Paslode
hot dip galvanized corrosion resistant fasteners, including TLN coated nails,
are zinc coated and comply with ASTM F1667. Also, Paslode hot dip galvanized corrosion
resistant nails, including TLN nails, meet zinc coating weight requirements of
ASTM A153 Class D. Henry
