Paslode's 30 degree full head RounDrive® Hot Dipped
Galvanized (HDG) Plus! Strip fasteners feature superior
corrosion protection for use in all pressure treated
lumber applications, including ACQ and copper azole.
Paslode
HDG Plus! Fasteners fully meet or exceed the zinc coating
weight requirements of the American Society for Testing
and Materials (ASTM). Those specifications (ASTM A153
Class D) require 1 ounce of zinc per square foot to
prevent corrosion.
"We
use a proprietary test method to evaluate fastener anti-corrosion
properties, " said Cynthia Suarez, Paslode marketing
specialist. "These aggressive corrosion resistant
tests best represent how the lumber and fasteners will
interact in real life conditions at an accelerated rate.
"Both
internal and independent third party tests confirm that
Paslode HDG Plus! Fasteners have 98% less red rust than
conventional HDG. Staining, streaking and nail discoloration
are reduced by 80% compared to conventional hot dip
galvanized nails. Suarez adds, "HDG Plus! Nails
are also suitable for use in Cedar applications since
the coating acts as a moisture-barrier and helps minimize
staining.
Paslode HDG Plus! Fasteners feature an advanced paper
tape collation design and are available in sizes ranging
from 2 to 3-1/4 inches in length and .113, .120, and
.131 in nail diameter.
The
fasteners can be used in Paslode 30 degree strip framing
nailers including the new F350-S PowerMaster Plus™
