Cordless Celebrates 20 Years of Experience and Innovation
In
2006, Paslode Cordless celebrates the 20th anniversary
of its Impulse® fuel cell technology and introduction
of the first cordless power fastening system available
on the market.
With
20 years of cordless experience, Paslode has established
unmatched reliability, a complete cordless fastening
system, and easy to use and maintain tools.
Jacek
Romanski, Paslode's Remodeling Market Manager noted,
"We have spent the last two decades perfecting
our cordless fuel cell technologies and developing new
tools designed specifically for our end users. The result
is a complete line of tools that professionals rely
on every day to get the job done."
To
achieve the reliability standards they're known for,
Paslode has in place an extensive quality assurance,
lab testing and field validation program. Paslode has
also continued to improve its own manufacturing and
production facilities for the last twenty years to assure
the highest quality of Paslode made cordless tools,
fuel cells and nails.
Still
today, more than 80 unexpired patents cover the integral
components of Paslode Cordless technologies. One of
these patented innovations is the Fuel Cell-Paslode's
fuel + battery system that drives nails powerfully and
consistently without compressors or hoses.
Paslode
Cordless tools work best with Paslode nails and Fuel
Cells; the complete fastening system increases reliability
and reduces downtime for professional remodelers and
carpenters. "Our customers' reputations depend
on the reliability of our fastening systems," said
Romanski. "Because professionals trust our experience,
we are committed to continuously innovating Paslode
Cordless tools, just as we have since 1986."
Since
1986, Paslode has developed a range of professional
tools that includes the Cordless Framing Nailer, 16
Gauge Straight Finish Nailer (introduced in 1991), 16
Gauge Stapler (1991), 16 Gauge Angled Finish Nailer
(2000), and the 18 Gauge Brad Nailer (2001). "Professional
remodelers can go completely cordless-from frame to
finish-with Paslode's cordless fastening systems,"
said Romanski.
Paslode
Cordless fastening systems have evolved since first
being introduced twenty years ago, incorporating numerous
enhancements-both recommended and demanded-by the professional
remodelers and carpenters who rely on their tools every
day. By working directly with the professionals who
use the tools, Paslode has been able to respond to changes
in building materials, technologies, and codes, as well
as to professionals' demands for cordless nailers that
are easy to use and maintain.
"Our
experience has shown that end users want lightweight,
compact tools; a wide range of fasteners; and powerful,
reliable performance," said Romanski. "Our
innovation in response to end users' needs means that
we will continue to provide enhancements that make Paslode
Cordless tools ever easier to use and maintain,"
he concluded.
Paslode's
most recent evolution has been to the Cordless Framing
Nailer. Twenty years of field testing and experience
have resulted in a tool that is ideal for remodeling
and framing of walls, floors, ceilings, roofs, door
and window frames, sheathing, roof and floor decks,
as well as recreational porches, decks, and fences.
Newer
features, engineered in response to professionals' feedback,
include a tool-free adjustable depth of drive mechanism;
a non-slip, overmolded hand grip that prevents user
fatigue during use; and a dual-position utility hook.
Paslode,
a division of Illinois Tool Works, is a leading manufacturer
of Cordless and pneumatic nailers, staplers, and fasteners.
The company's products are widely used by professional
remodelers and carpenters for framing, sheathing, trim
and finish applications, fencing, floor and roof decking,
siding, and insulation.
