I have both finish and framing guns, they work great and I love working with them but they do require more frequent maintenance than the air drive guns. If you don't like doing maintenance don't bother you will be disappointed.

Can this shoot no 6 nails

I have 3 of these nailers. Bought my first about 14 years ago ( still working). You MUST maintain these tools. Clean and lubricate, correct fuel cell (watch the expiration date). Good batteries and they should perform for years. I wouldn't use them for high production work as pneumatic is more effective. I think they're very good tools, as long as you remember it's a tool, not a magic wand.

THIS TOOL IS NOT FOR ROOKIES I NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH IT ALL ANGLES . LOCAL 713

I picked up a supposedly non-working IMCT framing nailer at flea market for $50, including the battery & charger. It is at least 8 years old as the expiration date of the fuel cylinder in the gun was 2006! Charged the battery, and tried the gun. Fan came on, but no firing. Got a maintenance kit (oil, spray-cleaner, new spark, & O-ring) on-line. Opened the gun up, and it appeared to have NEVER been cleaned. Cleaned the caked-on carbon out of the cylinder, oiled it, installed the new spark and O-ring. New fuel cell, and it runs like scalded dog! Many, many more years of service left in this tool.

5 stars for the framer that has worked flawlessly for 10+ years, 3 stars for the angled finisher that misfires frequently. I'll never drag a hose again.

Bought mine used due to budget restrains. Gave it a little tlc and it has never misfired once. Not as fast as air but way more convenient on the site.battery lasts all day and gas cartridge lasts long time too. No nailer is more reliable and user friendly ! Love it .ps just bought another! G.E.

this nailer is amazing. my neighbor has the same one and he uses it everyday and i want one for Christmas.

I love it but mine won't fire anymore??? fan won't even come on. My wife bought it for me several years ago cuz I'm a tool guy. It has been sitting up for a while- may be that's why. I need a repair shop... close to Houston

I Like This One Because Its The Exact Same One Used In FINAL DESTINATION 3 Except They Painted It Silver And Added A Gard Case And Some Stuff For Looks.

One of the best tools in my collection! John

Mine won't nail unless tip is forcefully depressed. Makes it tough to nail in certain positions or when up on a ladder. Gas will emit but it won't fire. Is there any adjustment or is it just inherent ? Otherwise I love using it around the cabin or places I can't get a compressor set up.

I was building my pier 3 yrs ago. I dropped my framer in the lake not once but twice. After a quick clean and some oil it was back in business. Just framed a cathedral ceiling this past weekend. Still strong. Maintenance and the proper nails this is a strong gun.

keep it clean and lubed. Awesome tool! I am on my second one and picking up a finishing nailer this week

The good tools are for smart people not for stupid people, I own two n they are the best tool. ;)

the gun is great the but heads that think its a piece of crap don't know how to take care of a good tool you have to clean them every now and then
— Anonymous
is this tool the same as th im90 with just a few thing added?

My father just gave me his old gen 1 gun, after a clean and lube, works great. Just ordered O rings off ebay, well, just because. Anyway, comments on this site are priceless, both good and bad and I appreciate the owner of this site not editing them. Like I said, works good, lasts long time.

Bought mine to do a large extension, including building roof trusses ... saves time ... makes noggins a joy to do, hammering nails in noggins just knocks them out of place ... allows an amateur to do a professional job ... overall I think less hammer banging is better for the frame integrity as the paslode framer shoots nails in accurately and only only one bang versus hammering ... bang, bang, bang and ouch often!

piece of crap , junk , to bulky too many issues !

The only thing better is a good glass of fine wine, and I am not even sure of that. What a tool......

LISTEN!!!!!! owned several of each gun from the gen 1 thru the new lith ion and the roofer.......but this particular gun is the absolute best one hands down....the newer ones have better features ....this particular one is easiest to clean, get parts for as well as cells/nails and did i mention cheaper in the long run. this is the gun i choose when going to the jobtrailer in the morning and it may not out perform the new ones but cost wise its the best buy overall and u wont have any issues getting what u need to use it.....all the paslodes are the cadillacs of the cordless industry but this one is the hummer of them.....oooo as far as performance......from this 1 to the newest LI one.....so minimial most people couldnt notice

I have been using Paslode guns for over 10 yrs now on a daily basis in the UK in all weather conditions framing houses & have fired probably millions of nails, they take serious abuse & as long as you service on a regular basis they keep going for years..! I have tried various other makes over the years along side my Paslode & nothing else comes close..!!

I wish I had one like the rest of you! I have had nothing but TROUBLE out of mine. I bought it to use for small jobs where getting out the air tools wasn't time effective. given that, it has been very minimal and yet it sucks. it has even been back to the factory for repairs and they left screws out. It still wasn't repaired. I'm glad you all have had great success with yours but I will never buy another one until they give me a new one for this piece of crap

great tool

Rented a framing nailer to do some fencing, 2 inch rough cut oak. Only had a few dense oak boards the nailer could not fully penetrate. Impressive tool, so I bought one. Sure not going to pound spikes into oak by hand when a tool like this is available, and this nailer performed better than the alternatives used over the years.

3.1 x 90 no problem...

Using an imct purchased in 1998, I built a 24 x 32 two story barn/workshop with boxed truss floor joists for second story. I drove over two boxes of nails with no problems (approx 14000nails). Big one-man job made easier.

Greatest thing since sliced bread.

Built an entire 20' x 40' detached dining room with my IMCT and the angle finish nailer - - - nothing else was needed (except for a roofing nailer). Both nailers have come up firing for all of my personal needs as well as a few "for hire" jobs I've done for family and friends. Servicing has been limited to dusting out the filters, I've never gone to the trouble of disassembling and cleaning them - - - no need to from everything I can see. . . . . .I've had both nailers for several years. Cold weather can slow them down as the gas does not vaporize as well . . . . but, in everything except the coldest days - - they work just great and gas canisters CAN go bad - - - watch the date codes when you buy these !

Great tools. I have the IMCT framing nailer and Angled Trim nailer. Friends and family are always wanted to use them on their projects! Keep up the good work.

Thankyou for this webpage, I managed to download all my missing manuals since we had the floods. Paslode Australia offered no such service or if so well hidden. As to my 900420 Framing Nailer it's 5 years old and has never jammed or played-up. I service it regularly and works everytime a true TOOL. Pete T

(1)Finish nailer is excellent with 1 exception no way of knowing exactly when the fuel is running out until you fire and get nothing (2)Framer is great for small jobs try framing something larger than an interior wall and you will be PO'D about the amount of times you have to reload the gun with nails stick nailers are the reason drum nailers are preferred by framing carpenters and less the compressor its the same thing

To the fellow that wrote: "So good, I'm keeping my friends and buying him a new one". Why not give your friends unit back, and purchase yourself a new one?

Just bought this nail gun yesterday from Home Depot, I'm building a pole barn/garage. I used it last night to try it out, drove several nails with it, seems to work very well, but their will be plenty of nailing to be done, hope it works out as well as these other reviews have indictated.

IMCT is lightweight, excellent power, framing a shed it's working great. Occasional misfires but no jams. Allen wrench to adjust depth depth-of-drive force is a hassle, won't be an issue for most users but mixing cedar and hardwoods may require more frequent adjustment and the CF325 tool-less adjustment will be a big help.

the best I love my paslode framing nailer and finishing gun

Very good product for small jobs, don't go framing a hole house with this tool but for little jobs its the best. When it's not worth setting up the compressor and hoses...
— Anonymous
Good product, keep clean and oiled will work fine w/o misfires or sticking. Cleaning is a must, it is not maintenance free!!!

Good for light framing, misfires every now and then
